I Installed my nem motherboard,processor and ram today,and i tested ratchet & clank in pcsx2 but hell,in hardware it runs smoothly but in software mode it runs with so much lag.

CPU: FX 8350 4.0 Ghz
Video Card: GTX 650Ti 1GB
Ram: Corsair 8GB 1600Mhz
Motherboard: GA-970A-D3P

Set extra rendering threads to 3 in gsdx config.
Try any combination up to 7 extra render threads.
also under emulation settings->speedhacks turn MTVU on.
The EE cyclerate hack helps as well.
Well this replys help a bit,but the game still slow and it have a annoying bug i can't solve (ratchet is stuck on the ground but he can still move)

Software mode is pretty intensive with this game, best you could do would be to overclock your CPU some and use extra sw rendering threads.
I like the PCSX2 team but hell,you guys just say to us to use software mode,but it's unplayable it's like you need to buy the better processor of the world to run games in software mode,i don't know if it's only the first ratchet & clank game who lags like this.

For me, the game's fully playable with good speeds in software mode.

But hell,my CPU is one of the bests of the market,so don't come saying i didn't buy a good one.
Maybe you have a i7 2600k but my CPU still very good,because only ratchet & clank runs with so much lag in software mode,other games is like 50 fps in software.
And i know Ratchet & Clank use all of the CPU
Your cpu isn't that fast trust me.
