Nice joke, really
Fine then lol. I know the one with the 4930mx can definitely.
A quad @ 2.4 ghz stock could ?
Please explain me how
@donovan : this game requires a recent intel quad above 4.0ghz to be playable in software mode.
Since the 4930mx gives 3.0 ghz @stock speed, i dont think it'll be enough either (even when using turbo boost...)

It's got very high IPC. Clockspeed isn't everything. It's also got very good single threaded performance.

I know it's not everything. But still. Since latest desktop haswell barely help getting full speed in this game, i highly doubt those mobile cpu can do better ( even if they are good mobile cpus)
Anyways, back on topic.

Actually I halfway through Ratchet and Clank on my rig in software mode. I'm at 3.1ghz on my 4440.
Not to argue we were discussing laptop cpu's which is what the op is wanting due to portability. So it is still on topic. Again I'm not trying to offend you.

No offense taken, I'm fine
Personally, I got it playable with my rig too.
But I still got some severe slowdowns from time to time. I guess one day laptops will be able to play this game flawlessly in software mode (we're not far from this day) but ATM, this "magic laptop" doesn't exist yet, I think.

The game benefits greatly from the EE cyclerate hack. VU cycle stealing causes nothing but slowdowns.
