Full Version: Why do half pixels happen?

So why do half pixels happen when up scaling? Educate me. Would like to know the technical reason behind it.

If you're talking about the HUD, it's a scaling problem. Since you changed the native resolution, the pixel locations aren't mapped correctly anymore.

I'm almost positive it mean that it creates Half Pixels or I'm thinking about something else. I know it happens when upscaling but WHY.

Probably because they game isn't meant to be upscaled. When the made the game they didn't take upscaling into account.

You can say that about every PS2 game.
the GS can render between pixels in a decimal amount, it sucks but it happens Sad

Well not all ps2 games are the same.
