i was playing last night, dmc3..saved state closed it...i launch it up today and its asking me to select a plugin gpu and my bios file is gone, what happened? can i fix this?

thanks i got it for some reason the use default settings box was checked in bios settings

If it is installed at C:\Program Files (x86), that alone might be the cause of all known and unknown weird issues!.
Install it somewhere else.

Do not install programs in the Documents folder as well. It's OK to have config files there but not good idea running programs from inside any Windows folder.
The Documents is yet more "protected" than the Program Files. The parent application inherits the user rights, but the plugins may not and this is known to create problems to almost any game relying on plugins or mods, even the PC games.
