i'm about to get the surface pro 3 (i3)
Intel Core i3, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of solid state storage
dual-core Intel Core i3 4020Y processor with Intel HD Graphics 4200. It offers a clock speed of 1.5 GHz.

will i be able to play ffx?

you'll get some severe slowdowns, for sure

but playable? :s

depends on what you call "playable".
if playing FFX around 35-40 fps (for NTSC) is ok for you, yes, it'll be "playable"

do you have the model of that i3? (curious as to if it has HT or not)

yes. it has ht.

well it will be lower than 60 i am going ot put it in the range of 30 or lower. the i3 in the surface is also severely governed to the point were any performance you might see form an ultrabook with the same cpu is going to be about 10% less with the surface.

it's not really meant for anything that demands as much as pcsx2
