Guys,

I have a X5690 (Similar to a i7-990X) running at 4.2Ghz and I still having some slow downs in games such as Wipeout Pure and Crash Nitro Kart, when I have seen videos of people with 3Ghz C2D running at full speed.

Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas to improve perfomance?

1 - if you're talking about youtube videos, never ever trust them. they will always play @ full speed if recorded with internal recorder.
2 - what do the ee% & gs% say when getting slowdowns ?
