Full Version: Switching From HW to SW has cause my display driver to stop working

This a new one. Any ideas?
That is a TDR issue which most likely gpu drivers at fualt
I got the latest Drivers.. Do I need to reinstall?

yeah, reinstall them and can you say which version of pcsx2 are you using?

try reverting back to the previous driver where, you didn't have the problem to check whether, it was a driver problem.
I noticed at times before when I used my previous driver that instead of the display driver itself crashing/failing. The emulator would crash instead.
You've got lots of weird problems.

Try running a stress test on your GPU, like Furmark or something.
Ya if your gpu is overclocked it's definitely not stable.
My GPU is factory OC'd and I rather not run Furmark. That program can kill your GPU. It has been known. Although I have ran it in the past before knowing it kills GPU's. So I am staying away from it from now on.
