Is there a way to not use a 8 meg memory card such as a 32 meg memory card? Or maybe like a unlimited space memory card. This is due to being lazy on swapping my memory cards for fresh ones.
Just go to the memory card menu, select Create and choose your size. See warnings there.
It's generally not recommended to use bigger than default cards. Some games don't like them and won't detect them. (Star Ocean 3 for example).
Thanks for the responses. Don't I feel like a idiot. lol
Ryudo Star Ocean 3 has no problem seeing my 16mb card.
That's a first then. Because everyone I've known, including myself that tried bigger than 8MB failed to save Battle Trophy data to it, while it worked perfectly fine on 8MB cards.
But if it worked for you, that's good then. It's still not the ONLY game that has issues with bigger cards.

Star Ocean 3 works perfectly fine with a 32mb memory card in PCSX2 1.2.1

Regular Saving yes, but Battle Trophy Data refuses to work even on PCSX2 1.3.1. You'll just get greeted with an insufficient memory error.

[Edit]
It seems to not work with cards bigger than 32 MB.

Quoting vsub from another topic:

(03-19-2009, 03:02 AM)vsub Wrote: [ -> ]I don't know if this applies to pcsx2 too but I have maybe 5-10 games that have problems working/saving on my 64mb Datel Max Memory card, first becucause it's slow and second, some games make some check on the memory card...for example if you have mc with more than 32mb free space you won't be able to save the trophies data in Star Ocean 3.On Kingdom Hears 2 I can't save for the first time if there isn't at least one save already in my card so I had to place one from gamefaq to be able to save.

So maybe 32 and below works (still not sure if it works for -every- game), but anything beyond that will cause issues.

[Edit 2]
This is not a PCSX2 flaw btw. It's just a game flaw. I've had this happen with one of my actual 64MB cards on the real PS2 as well.
