Tested it personally in win 8.1 (I have a wired xone controller) and works great. PCSX2 even recognizes it as a 360 controller.
Works in windows 10 aswell
Aslong as the controller is being seen under DirectInput it should work just fine. I'm using a wireless 360 controller with a Chinese Wireless Receiver (Original drivers work just fine) and I play alot of my games with this and it works just fine.
I use a DS2 controller with PCSX2. It works fine.
