Full Version: How do I Make PCSX2 Run Faster Again?

Hello everyone! I have a problem with my PCSX2 Emulator.

Before upgrading to Windows 10, it ran smoothly (about 20-30 fps). Now, it runs below 25 fps. How do I fix it? Can anybody help me?

My computer's Specification:
Processor: AMD A8-6410 APU
Video Card: AMD Radeon R5
RAM: 4 GB
OS: Windows 10 Pro

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.
  • Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  • The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  • Any non default settings you are using.
  • What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

Did you mean to say that PCSX2 ran at 60 fps? 20-30 fps is <1/2 full speed, which suggests you might not have had full speed even prior to upgrading to Windows 10.

Judging by your specs, your CPU seems very weak and your GPU might not be comfortable above x2 native resolution. What games do you play on PCSX2?
