My laptop has recognised the PS3 controller because I get it to move the controls and vibrate but when I go into a game like Lego Marvel Super Heros and got to change device it wont pick it up when a press a key!!!

No it won't let me load it just came up with an error

ScpToolkit did the trick for me.
You could give it a try. You can find it on this forum, in fact.
