I want to play shadow hearts 2 which is two disks after doing a search found that i need to use software mode and on both my computers it runs fine.

but my question before i put a lot of time into the game is can i change disks when i need to using iso?

Even if you can't the game offer you to save before it ask you to change the disk
You can then restart pcsx2,load the disk 2 iso and load your save(that's how I played all of my multi disk games on my PS2HDD...save=>restart the PS2=>run the second disk=>load the save)
