So I've been playing some SSX Tricky and I decided to try the "Trick Tutorial" part. Everything went fine and the game is at a constant 60fps until the bottom of the hill after I've done the trick, the game just goes down to 32fps. I know everything isn't perfect in emulation but I was just looking to see if anyone could suggest a setting I could change that might help.

I've not tried software mode and I don't really want to use that

Settings I use below.
What are ee and gs values during slowdowns?
I would suggest to try skipdraw (gsdx plugin settings -> hw hacks. Dont forget to enable hw hacks in the main dialog.).

Possibly unrelated but why that specific custom resolution and the manual gamefix?

And why dont you want to use software mode?
Sorry forgot to add that, 34 and 75
I'll give it a try thanks

2x native runs at about 54-60fps, I wanted to try a resolution a little lower but to be honest I have no idea what I'm doing. I was halving the x2 resolution but I'm not sure if I even know what the x2 resolution is LOL. Maybe you can help with that

I just have the game fix on for no reason.

I don't want to play at native resolution and while I under stand that my onboard graphics limits me, I don't want 8x native jsut something a little better than ps2 native will do Smile
Do you not have a dedicated graphics card?
Nope I'm poor but if you're willing to donate that would be great Smile
I'm all out of spare cards.

Anyways, you wont' be able to upscale without a dedicated card.
What no GeForce GTX 980 Ti for me lol

Are you sure, I've been able to get a little more, like I said before I'm not looking for huge 4x 8x upscales. Anything but native will do Smile
that cpu has pretty weak integrated graphics and you won't have full speed when upscaling
Well that sucks I guess I'll just have to save up for a dedicated card.
I would check skipdraw or aggressive crc. Both remove post procesing effects which can help your gpu. I guess i would disable the ee timing hack. Manual gamefixes are far from being recommended.

Its really sad if such a cpu doesnt have a nice gpu to play with. Maybe you find a way to add a gpu. Maybe an old one maybe a used one...
