Hi, I'm checking FFX, but the movie quality really ruins the experience.
There's a lot of things you can configure.. so I pretty much get lost in there, but I have a feeling there's a way to fix this problem.

My PC:
i7 4770
Radeon R9 290 Tri-X
16GB RAM
Windows 8.1

PCSX2 version:
1.3.1-20151225014953 (git)

You can see the problem in this screenshot (copy the image link to see it at full size and understand the problem):

Thanks in advance.
I guess you find it too pixelated.
Sorry, not much you can do
Looks interlaced, try pressing F5 till it's fixed.
And use D3D11 as well.
Just as additional info: many cutscenes are prerendered at the native ps2 resolution. Nothing to upscale and hence the worse image quality in comparison to in-game scenes.
use directX 11 or OpenGL. your card shouldn't have a problem handling it.
Looks about normal to me, there is a IPU Wait fix or something which FFX needs, you could try making sure that's turned on, but it should be auhtomatically on. It's probably just because the video is interlaced.
I hope we get the FFX/X-2 remaster on PC soon so that people can ditch the PS2 version.
There are rumors that it may come to Steam eventually.
