The version is more or less unrelated. It's important that pcsx2 was compiled with vs2013 and not vs2015. The builds provoded by orphis' buildbot are made by vs2015. Skylake i7 users should check if the appveyor vs2013 builds work better.

I think the official 1.4 was compiled using vs2013.
