It would depend on the system.. If you have gotten a core 2 duo extreme overclocked to 3.2+ ghz.. it might actually run ok, but I wouldn't hold my breath... There are some games that can run on a core 2 duo, I use to rock one myself at 3 ghz, but it was the lighter weight games like final fantasy x... nothing with the more beefier system reqs. I now have a 1st gen i7 laptop at 2.6ghz that does the game at the same level as my old overclocked core 2 duo. Your chip, especially at stock speeds, probably isn't up to the task for many games.
NO.... Just say the answer.
I know thread is little old, but just for the record, my main PC is a 3ghz C2D with a Geforce 8600GT and XP x64, and Im very very happy with pcsx2

I tested many games, mostly 2D Fighting games and survival horrors, and all of them play good, 60/50fps, no problems
Note to self... next time someone asks why a game is slow on PCSX2, tell them "coz this needs much Ghz"

XD

Sorry, couldn't help myself.
blyss - totally do it man..
