I haven't touched the emulator in several months or downloaded any of the latest git builds but last I used there were some notable issues when trying to use AMD cards especially with the OpenGL backend.
Did any of AMD's updates ever fix that?
Some bugs were fixed, and some new bugs were introduced too. AMD have fixed it internally, but it has not yet been released.
How's the performance these days with OGL? Last time I checked it was atrocious. I haven't tried it recently.

Roughly the same. AMD is looking into it, but they haven't released that fix either.
