I wonder If gt4 pal can be patched as well.

It runs at real 50fps, right? If it's a good PAL version (no slowdown compared to the NTSC version), you are out of luck unless you find speed and time modifiers to slow them down by 16.66667%, so when you change the PAL speed to 60fps it will run OK.

If it's a bad PAL version like Final Fantasy X, forcing NTSC speed for PAL games is enough.

FF12 needs a speed modifier code, so anyone interested try working on it
00547EC8, 00547ECC both have 3F800000(1.0 in float) but using theme for slowdown sets the animations back to 30 fps.

That's it from me for now

New to PCSX2. I'm using it primarily for FF12 speed running - noticed massive drops in FPS when menuing.  How do you apply a speed modifier code, and will the one listed here fix my issue?  Thanks
No, this will not fix your issue, in fact it will make it worse.

Thanks.  Do you have any suggestions for optimizing FF12...? Or can you point me to existing threads?
Well you can make your own thread and post your specs and configuration and we'll see what we can do to help you.

Err... I see you already made a thread. Your system seems really weak for PCSX2(which btw is why these patches are useless for you. These patches increase in game FPS and make it smoother gameplay, but at the cost of much higher system requirements.) You can try MTVU as refraction suggested as a starting point. You can also use the EE cyclerate speedhack to lower the emulated EE speed(move the slider to the left.)

Please make any further responses in your own thread that you opened in order to avoid derailing this one.

Since no one else is offering to, I'll store 60 FPS hacks in my wide screen archive. In my next update, they can be found in the Useful Cheats folder in my next update.

Also asasega, you should make a tutorial on how you do these. Smile
