Just to continue, the PS2 control works great on the console, but it looks like on pcsx2 it does not.
You can explain why pressure buttons work on the console and not on PCSX2

Xbox 360 gets around the lack of pressure buttons by either having quick press or long press controls. there are no games that ask you to slowly increase pressure on a button, and even MGS4 does CQC different. Do you recall seeing any games that ask you to press the button harder to do stuff? a good game that proves my point is mad maestro, as pressure sensitivity is a requirement as the game wants 3 types of presses.
