Hello there kind sir's and ladies...

So I have finally upgraded my pc again, and I wanted to know what kind of performance bump (Not the right word but who cares really Laugh) I would get out of the newer rig. I understand that you might not be able to give a complete or even half answer, I just want your two cents Laugh

Old Rig:
Motherboard - Asus Z87-Deluxe
CPU - Intel Core i7-4770K
GPU - GTX 980Ti
Ram 16GB

New Rig:
Motherboard - ASUS STRIX Z270E GAMING
CPU - Intel Core i7-7700K
GPU - GTX 1080Ti
Ram Still 16GB Laugh

I thank you for your kind replies and have a good day Laugh
Well, if you get your 7700k up to around 5ghz, you should see a nice performance improvement of about 20% possibly Smile Then again it depends how far your 4770k was pushed also Tongue

It actually wasn't even pushed Laugh Laugh
I dunno, i just saw your sig, I'd say 4.5Ghz is pretty pushed for a Haswell CPU Tongue

I overclocked it once, and than turned it back, or I don't remember, but at the moment it is 3.50Ghz, but it is true that I did have it on 4.5Ghz the time I pushed it and it did work.
Then in that case the 7700k will be much faster
So I wanted to test out if I saw a difference. I can play Steambot Chronicles in Software Mode without any FPS drops, heck I tried it with Xsplit as well, and while that did yield some slowdowns for the most parts it played in 60fps, whereas when I played with the 4770k, I would usually have at least 20-30 fps drops in some places notably in houses and when the distance was far away, and it would sit at around the 35fps mark. So yes it did make a difference Laugh
