when i'm playing game with pcsx2, some game can't play correctly (juast blank screen). when the game is playable successfully, I only get 70%~80% speed (about 40fps to 50fps). it's slow and i did'nt enjoy playing the game, so i just stop playing.
Did my computer doesn't meet the requirment for playing with pcsx2?
here's my spec:
- Processor AMD 4850e (running in 2,5Ghz)
- VGA AMD 3870
- memory 2GB

please answer before I must Upgrade my computer.
which games ? Which plugin settings ? using speedhack ? Provide mor innfo if you want a clear answer.
i was using all i can, like all plugin and setting, but it's the same. it's little difference than ver 0.94
ver 0.96 didn't play lot of 0.94 can. but the speed was better. maybe if i change my processor to 3GHZ like new amd phenom II X4 940 (Athlon X2 6000+ didn't sell in my country anymore) because i read pcsx2 was recomended to 3ghz+ cpu.
i didn't think other problem because when i use vista basic score, only my cpu have the little score (about 5.2) the other was 5.9.
Depends on the game your trying to play the speeds your getting might actually be what is expected.

For upgrading purposes in general for pcsx2 you would like to try for intel instead of amd, if your motherboard allows it of course, it will allow you to use better/faster plugins hence increasing the overall speed.
have you tried playing in full screen mode?

you have a good PC specs, why does it run slow?

actually i planned to post this but i forgot my screenshots, im in the office

but since i saw your struggle in emulation, i'd preferred to say all here

i have a GeForce 2 + P4 2.26GHz + 2GB RAM and it runs relatively fast than in windowed mode! to my surprise! just discovered it last night.

I tried playing:
~Resident Evil Code: Veronica X
~Zombie Zone
~Simple 2000 Series Ultimate Vol.026 - The Love Smash! 5.1
~Onechanbara 2 / Special
~Final Fantasy X

the emulator crashes, randomly
but in terms of speed,
i compared this to my PS2 Slim
and for a scale of 1-10, my emulation would be falling to 7!

i'll post my screenshots / videos later..

anyway do u have an idea of an application that can record a playing video in windows?

thanks anyway

Even If emulation was perfect, i'm pretty sure compaison doesnt' make sense anyways.
2.5ghz AMD X2 is not enough, at least you can try to overclock your cpu at.3ghz or above before you will upgrade your cpu/computer. For cheap way you can upgrade your cpu to kuma 7750BE/7850BE dual core (around 60$-70$) and oc it with only change multiplier at.3.2ghz-3.45ghz (relatif easy) . With kuma you will get more fps compare to old AMD X2 at. Same clock.

is there another way to measure how fast is the emulation?

The FPS is the best way.

All NTSC games (US and Japan) are locked at 60FPS being full speed. So if the emulator is topping out at 40 FPS, you're running at 2/3 of the 'real' speed (40/60).

ow i see,
another question, is NTSC's frequency, 60Hz, has something to do with NTSC Games locked at 60FPS, like what you said?
