Full Version: Critical Velocity help

So I have Critical Velocity and it is a good game, but I need some big help. The cutscenes have really weird coloring, they are epilepsy-triggering like they flash different colors. What is the fix to get rid of the color-flashing?! The game would be worth playing without the flashing!
Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.
  • Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  • The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  • Any non default settings you are using.
  • What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

Thank You.

Version: 1.5.0 dev build 2146

Non-default settings: FFX videos fix, EE timing hack

Games: It's Critical Velocity, a 2005 Japanese Namco game, ISO.
I have this game but not tried it on PCSX2 yet, will have a go in a bit and see how it works.

Try changing to OpenGL Hardware renderer. Config->Video->Plugin Settings

What graphics card do you have?
Oh no, PCSX2 OpenGL is not supported for my computer. Anyways, my graphics card is ASUS EAH5750 series.
Mmm what does it say when you try to select openGL? Have you got the latest graphics card drivers installed?

With you having an AMD/ATi card opengl will probably be slow for you anyway. Can you try D3D11 instead?
do you have another PS2 console ?
I used to have a PAL silver slimline PS2, but that broke down a year ago.
unfortunately, that PS2 you own is known to be a buggy one.
it's possible you won't get satisfying results with it

I guess you're screwed.
Just tried my copy and it looks like a problem with PCSX2, it seems unable to render the FMV's correctly regardless of setting.
