Any ideas on how to get Ratchet and Clank to run at 60fps smooth with no slowdowns at all. And possibly run at maybe 2k or 4k resolution
You need a very good CPU and enable mipmapping

i have a i7 6700k at OC and a gtx 1070 and i still have slowdowns
I guess it's not enough, then.

I found that the key to getting it to run well is jamming the EE up to 300%, and VU cycle stealing to 1. This gets it to run full speed, but not 60 fps, most of the time. When there's a lot going on the framerate does drop though. It's just a demanding game from what I can tell.

Edit: Oh and MTVU. If you aren't using MTVU you're missing out big time.

Another edit: My hardware specs for perspective

Intel i7-4710HQ 2.5 GHz
NVIDIA GTX 860m (4 GB vRAM)
16 GB Main Memory
Strange, with a fx8350 4,3 ghz and a gtx 780ti, it run at full speed, this game run at 60fps on real hardware so it should be nice.

At a 4k resolution ?
Really ?
Yes if I use dx11, OpenGl is also good at 2k resolution (mentioned at the title of the topic) and is needed for the shadows.

Edit: with a i74770k 3,5ghz , it run at fullspeed in 4k resolution and in software mode.

If you want, I will post screenshot.

I don't have any doubt about it.
