I didn't know that you had to own the ps2 to emulate it legally, sorry, silly mistake. I made the unfortunate mistake of downloading the BIOS from *snip* because some stupid tutorial told me so. Keep in mind I do own my games and I have a broken PS2 in my basement somewhere that I think I could use. I'm super new to gaming in the pc, and just recently got my own laptop. I'm sorry, want to make up for this by doing it legally.

Downloading a copyrighted piece of software which you don't own is illegal, no matter what 'stupid tutorial' told you to do so.
There are plenty of tutorials on how to dump your BIOS around the forums.

I didn't know, I'm trying to know how to do it legally, I have a ps2 that I think I can use, I need help with this because I know absolutely nothing about emulating.

I made a very stupid mistake, I know. Here in Brazil piracy laws are usually very murky but I always got my games legally because I have a great deal of respect for the industry. I hate that this happened and hope to fix it.

i am having the same probelm looking for a program like free mcboot or magicswap3 i couldn't find the download links for new versions i have tried everything even the tutorials on the forums and youtube
