Hello

First of all here is my PC spec :

Inspiron 7720 (Laptop)
Intel Core i7-374QM
CPU @2.70 Ghz 2.70 Ghz
RAM : 8 Gb
GPU : Nvidia Geforce 650
Windows 7

I'm using the PCSX2 v1.50-dev-1716-g070d7c version.
I'm playing Tales of the abyss undub mode (4.12 Gb) with the ToTA GSdx32-SSE4.dll patch on.

I have a question.
Can we turn skipdraw on more than 0 and not having the game turning so dark?
I could increase the brightness at the same time but every anime sequence or small animated dialogue would be way too bright).

Thanx for reading me and i'm hoping for any tips available.
Use the patched GSdx found here, instead of Skipdraw.

Instructions:
• When you have the plugin downloaded, place it in your plugin folder.
• In PCSX2, go to Config > Plugin/BIOS Selector
• Choose the 'ToTA GSdx32 (05052015) AVX2' (or SSE2/3/4) plugin for GS and then press 'Apply'.
• Still in the same screen, click the 'Configure' button next to the GS plugin.
• Make sure scaling is set to Native x-something. (Any multiplier works, just no custom resolution)
• Enable HW Hacks > Configure > Select 'ToA Ghost Fix'
• Apply everything, and it should now work.

Hello thank you for your answer really but i'm already using this patch (it's the ToTA GSdx32-SSE4.dll that i was mentionning) but it is not enough for every area.
The lights in keterburg looks weird but if i turn alpha on it is the same kind of lights that are inside the casino of the same city that looks really weird too (it is an example but it's the same where there is the same kind of light).
Also as you can see the pale colours look way too much bright too whereas if i turn the skipdraw on more than 0 and brightness to the maximum i don't have all these problems despite having all the animated cutscene and the small animated dialogue way too bright that's why i asked this question.

I know it is possible maybe using a widescreen patch like it is mentionned in the third post of this link https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Tales-of...g-squashed or maybe he was not i don't know but he said that the screend don't go dark anymore and i want that same result (i don't understand english that well i'm a french native by the way).
You don't need skipdraw at all with the patched GSdx. The ghosting is fixed without skipdraw if you follow the guide I posted. You won't need any other hack either. (in fact using any other hack would actually interfere with the patch/game).

I've played the game from start to finish and the ghosting was completely gone, colors are correct, and brightness is fine too. The only thing that can occur is that there will be a 1 pixel border on the left and top side of the screen, which can be worked around by changing the zoom level to 101% in PCSX2's settings. (or you can ignore it, since it's not really that bothersome tbh).
