Hello, I though windows 10 already have the latest version of directx ? My pc is running fine with just the install of vc++ 2015 x86.

You updated to Win10 from Win7/8 or it's a clean install
Win10 clean install don't have the latest DX nor VC redist installed

ChrisCalvin_187 "installing\reinstalling" pcsx2 is nothing special,it does almost the same thing as downloading the portable version,extracting it and run pcsx2
The installer version does 2 things
1.Install PCSX2 in Program Files and uses the Documents\PCSX2 folders for few things
2.Ask you if you want to install directx and vc redist

The portable version:
1.You extract pcsx2 wherever you want and what goes into Documents\PCSX2,goes to the same folders as the pcsx2.exe
2.It does not ask you if you want to install dx and vc redist

So, you don't need to download this one (vc++ 2015 x86) ???

When you run the installer,no but if you use the portable version then yes.
And no,pcsx2 will not overwrite anything important even if you install it directly over the current installation

Where the pcsx2.exe is,do you have file named portable?

try move your pcsx2 out from program files,users and windows folders...
move to C:\pcsx2
or move to native drives where windows is not installed.

it might due to restrictive windows permission or not in a admin.

my windows 10 is already installed in this new laptop and not from windows 7/8, i can not find any folder named portable, do i still have to download DirectX 2010 and visual ++56 as you suggested ???

depends if you want to make pcsx2 work.
