Like the title says the other day my emulator suddenly stopped producing any sound. I looked through other forum posts for a fix and even the general bug fix thread but in all of them the answer was just "switch from Portaudio to Xaudio 2." I tried that and it didn't work. Neither did any other change I tried making or looking up. I've never had an issue with the emulator before that wasn't easily fixable after a few google searches so I'm coming here for help
In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.
- Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
- The version of PCSX2 you are using.
- Any non default settings you are using.
- What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

I sometimes forget that I muted the emulator from the Volume Mixer(right click on the speaker icon in the tray)
Make sure pcsx2 is running while opening the volume mixer
