i downloaded the patches and put them in my cheats menu and enabled cheats, and still the game freezes in the beginning, all I get is a grey screen. If anyone could help...

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):

I believe I put the patch files in the wrong folder, I have to go to my crogram files and put the patches in the cheats folder there I believe so.
