First off hello new guy here
second I do have a ps2 related question
I read the faqs the best I could so it what I say warrants any punishing I fully understand it but I've looked around and haven't really found anyone in the same situation as me so here it is.

I don't have a cd drive so as I understand it you need to rip from the ps2 disk
and I do own the games that plan to play but does not having a cd drive mean I am just out of luck as far as using this program.

PS2 games are DVDs, not CDs

You can buy an external one that connects through USB for about $30-$40

well of course that is incorrect. there are many PS2 games on CD format but the AAA games are usually DVD

I would recommend a DVD drive over a CD drive, that way it could read all your games and not just ones that are on CD
