As far as I can tell, there's no way around this. OpenGL software seems to be the only way to get this transparency bug corrected. I've fiddled around with the settings for a while but still can't find a way to fix this. I hope someone can prove me wrong.

Software isn't the most viable of options as I can see 10+fps drops, which wouldn't be as bad if the audio quality didn't snap in half whenever it happened.

But this bug makes everyone a weird bulging gray and prevents you from seeing into water from above.

Does anyone know a workaround or a fix to this? Or should I put this in bug reports instead, if it's a known thing/can't be fixed
Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

quick edit: some of this has the software/unbroken logs in it too, just a headsup
what if you don't load from savestate ?

What if you increase the blending accuracy level or accurate date ?

Edit: If the issue persists maybe you can upload a gs dump
