Full Version: PSX2 memory cards not saving

so after i format the memory cards and try and make a save game on crash bandicoot it saves the game but it says 0 progress and takes me back to the very start every time, it reconises the file, and saves it, but it doesnt save anything, iv tried moving the Psx2 folder to C drive, iv tried running as administrator but nothings working...
Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):

he cannot save his memmory card because he is at c:/users folder

Uhm... They're in the Documents folder, so no it's not gonna be write locked by Windows, unless this person isn't User. But I don't even think that's the problem.

Checksum sector overwritten is a strong indicator that something is fundamentally wrong with the game. This most likely isn't a configuration issue, this simply means it is writing to a portion of the card it never should be able to. Only recommendation I can think of is, make a fresh card, set IOP to Interpreter, format it via the PS2 BIOS, not the game, and see if that works. If that fails, try a development build as others have recommended and repeat.
