Full Version: Samurai Jack: The Shadow of Aku. Video freezes during first cutscene.

I am quite new to the whole PCSX2 scene, so i don't understand a lot of the technical stuff, but i am trying to learn it so please forgive me if i make some huge mistakes.

I checked the wiki of course, and as far as i can see it doesn't need any special settings to work.

The video freezes at the exact same point in the first cutscene, the audio still continues on, and the video tries to keep up, but ends up skipping a lot.
Its not a framerate problem i don't think, because as far as i can tell the emulation runs at a smooth 60 fps.

I have tried fiddling with a lot of settings but nothing seems to change.

PC specs :

OS: Win 10
CPU: Intel Core i7 4790 @ 3.60GHz
GPU: 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 (MSI)
RAM: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz

I am running PCSX2v1.5.0-dev-2711

PCSX2 plugins :
GS: GSdx 20181201160636 (MSVC 19.00 AVX2/AVX2) 1.1.0 [GSdx32-AVX2]
And then all the default plugins for the rest, let me know if they are relevant.

I am sorry if i left out any important setting/plugin, let me know if they are needed.

Try using your original DVD directly instead of iso.
What did you use to make your iso ?

The original disc is in a dusty box in the basement, so i kinda hope i dont have to dig after it.

It was a long time i made that iso, but it was probably imgBurn.

So you think it might be a problem with the iso?
Could be. Try software mode too

I tried Direct3D 9 software, and it still froze, ill try and fish up the disc tomorrow.
Make sure to set the reading speed to the lowest option. That way, you will less likely encounter errors while trying to dump the disc.
