Hi everyone,

I am trying to make my Burnout 3 rom working. But for some reason, the game freeze at start. I can see the ps2 boot, I can see the loading of the game (When I have the loading bar). But at around 80%, it stops moving.
I don't see anything that seems to be relevant in the logs. There it is, before I launch the game:

Code:

Anyone has an idea on how I could start to understand what is going wrong?
I am quite confident that it is not a problem of the PS2 bios nor the iso.

Thanks!
Cheers.
Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):

Hi Jesalvein,

Thank you for your question. However, I am using Linux. Do you where this file would be located?

Thanks!
maybe in your main pcsx2 folder or in $HOME/pcsx2 ?
not sure of it though
Alright, I forgot that my search was case sensitive. It is in ~/.config/PCSX2/logs/

tried latest git build ?
Hi,

That was a very good point. By using the last git build, it runs! So the problem was there.
However, running one track, it is very slow. Around 30% of the game speed. Do you have any idea how to improve that? I played around with amulation settings/the speedhacks. I can barely have an improvement.
The GS is libGSdX, using Opengl hardware.
I looked aroung a bit there: https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Official...-9-7#SHack

Cheers.
To give more information, my GS is at 80% during the game. The EE and VU are arounf 50%.
And my CPU was ranking around 3000 on the CPU rating for the game, so way above the 1200 limit, so I guess it is not the problem...
Try lowering the resolution, you're running in a gpu bottleneck. The cpu doesn't meet the minimum requirements either btw (1200 STR while we recommend 1600 minimum) but you're not running in a cpu bottleneck here it seems.
Well, I thought I read 3000 for my CPU, so I should be ok I guess?
Anyway, for my resolution, I put native, so the lowest one I think?
My laptop is only 1 year old, I hoped it would be enough....
