So I installed PCSX2 on my computer (Having first checked the requirements [my computer meets em]) and got the BIOS and everything working alright. I went through the PS2 main screen movin at a sweet 60 fps. But as soon as I booted the game and it got to the Main Menu, the framerate dropped to 3 -7 fps, sometimes hitting 10 if I was lucky. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is my computer not able to handle it even though it meets the requirements?
Edit: I am trying to play Mercenaries Playground Of Destruction if that matters at all
Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.
Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):

The issue is that you are trying to run one of the most demanding titles in PCSX2 with a CPU that is in the requirements list, sort of (the requirements are really really old and honestly not very accurate any more), but not really able to handle most PS2 games in PCSX2.
The general recomendation is a single threaded performance score of 1600 for a lot of titles and 2000+ for the demanding ones... to be fair Mercenaries PoD probably needs more then this to work correctly since it needs some pretty demanding features enabled to not have as many issues. Your A10 APU is 962 in single threaded performance.

Long story short. Your CPU is not even close to minimal specs.. and you're running 4GB RAM on a 64Bit OS as well..
Time for an upgrade my friend
