Would this be fast enough to run ps2 and ps3 games just curious thanks.
if you think about pcsx2 ->yes, it'll work for most games.
better use the intel CPU since its STR will be slightly better than its AMD counterpart

if you think about rpcs3->ask them directly, but i think you'll need something more powerful

Ok so what kind of intel cpu should I get and what does STR stand for sorry for asking a dumb question.
the one you posted above talks about an amd cpu and an intel cpu.
i guess there are 2 variants of this model...

doesnt say anything about GPU, though

STR stands for "Single Thread Rating"

as said above, will be ok for most games as long as you don't push internal res too high.
the most demanding games will probably suffer, though
I run that with the 2500u.  Some minor dips in fps with kingdom hearts 2 in cutscenes.

My 2500u has a stp of about 1800... The 3500u is a little faster.

I haven't tried any of the other games I own yet.  I suspect it will work fine for my final fantasy games...

Keep internal Rez down to 2 or 3x at most.
