I just started using this emulator today (or last night, since I started using it before midnight), and I've been having troubles playing games on it. So far, I've tried two games: Shadow the Hedgehog and Kingdom Hearts, in that order. Both games work fine enough to play, but there have been constant slowdown issues occurring. While playing Shadow the Hedgehog, the game will freeze for about 10 seconds and resume; this occurs randomly. Navigating main menus and loading levels have caused FPS slowdown issues. In Kingdom Hearts, the same issues occur, except the speed seems to drop more significantly. After loading the game, and going through doors/level transitions, the speed will fluctuate between 101% and roughly 50%; even after loading the scene, it will start to hang on a low speed until it catches up with itself, causing the audio to sound weird. The same thing seems to happen during general gameplay. Playing through the first level, "Dive to the Heart," I've noticed the same speed drops no matter what I am doing. Again, these aren't game-breaking issues, but they are generally annoying and distracting.

When loading into the game from a save file:
EE: 6%
GS: 7%

When leaving the shack on Destiny Island to go to the main part of the island:
EE: 33%
GS: 10%
hm.something wrong's on your PC, then
can you copy/paste your windows task manager just to see if cpu/gpu are used when it's slow ?

Recently a user had a weird low performance and all it was that his power plan was set to energy saving

So, what am I looking for in the performance tab?
If the cpu speed is at max when that happens,not at something like ~800Mhz even when the game is running normally.
You can also check your power plan just to be sure(Start menu=>type "choose a power plan" and check if it's not on something like power\energy saving
