PCSX2 is an awesome piece of software, but I am wondering why the development has been stopped ?
The last stable version 1.4.0 has been released 4 years ago.
Did the developers lose interest ? Or have we taken emulation of the PS2 as far as possible on PC and there is nothing left to do ?
Also, the devs are planning to release 1.6 "Soon"
They've done a ton of work and added a lot of stuff. They already submitted a release candidate on Git.
Not sure how long it's gonna take but yeah, a full on new version is in the works.

it does hurt my soul when I see people asking for support on 1.4.0.

Exactly why I try to pick the most contrasting color to the forum and link to the dev builds in my signature lol. Would have figured at this point that people would wonder why 1.4.0 is so old and try looking at the development builds, but still nope.
