hello so i just upgraded my pc to an all amd pc with an 3700x and 5700 xt 16 gb ram. but i didnt know opengl ran so bad on amd gpus.

i have read that using d11x instead of opengl is less accurate, what exactly will that mean when playing a game? more glitches?missing textures? slowdown? or something else?

also how many game does it affect? it is only a handfull of games?or the majority?

the 3 games i have tried so far seems to run great on dx11, but if it is somethhing that affects many games. i would like to know now so i can sell my gpu and buy and nvidia gpu, as ps2 emulation was one of the main reasons i upgraded my pc.
It really depends on the game, I've been using D3D on this emulator since 2007, even with Nvidia gpu's. I never noticed a visual difference when switching between them.

Maybe I just lucked out on the games I played.

Pretty much. A good majority of games use blending effects which dx11 doesn't support. We improved dx11 accuracy tremendously these couple of years but it's missing proper blending support.

how noticeable does it look? is it so much that its unplayable? or is it hardly noticeable?

also how long do you think it will take for dx11 to become as good as opengl or better? if thats even possible?
