Full Version: Kessen II locks up when trying to use a special ability

Wow it has been an eternity since I posted here! I had to dust off PCSX2 and play some Kessen II. But I ran into a problem. When I go to my general's special abilities, the controller would stop working, locking the game more or less. The music still plays as usual. The controller is a standard PS2 device with USB physically connected to the computer. I'm using 1.7 using the git from Manjaro AUR repos. However I also used a self-compiled 1.7 as well as my old 1.5, all with the same issue. I've used a couple different brands of PS2 controller from OEM to cheapo Chinese no name brand. My review from many years ago on the Wiki showed a perfectly playable game, so I'm not sure why the screen is now locking up when I try to use any special ability from any general. Here is my emulog. I'm not using any speedhacks save for the default presets.

On a side note, 1.7 EE maxes out to 99% very easily with my Kessen II even with HW mode. 1.5 however plays at full or almost full speed. Obviously some changes were made. It's just an observation.
