Full Version: Speed drops to 50%

I used the Speedhacks (MTVU) and it worked perfectly for some time, maybe for an hour or more, but then it dropped to 50% all of a sudden. I tried to tweak around and I'm not sure if this made it work but when I changed the slow motion adjust from 50 to 100, it worked again but after a while it dropped back to 50% all of a sudden. While I tried to search for some solutions online, not sure what happened, but it worked again and then dropped again like the last two times. 
Is there a reason why this keeps happening? 

My specs are as follows:

i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20 GHz
GeForce GTX 1050
16GB RAM
Windows 10

It's actually the first Siren game not Forbidden Siren.

EE: 34% and GS: 7%

You said that changing the slow motion adjust fixed it for a time? You probably hit the slow motion key combo on accident. Try hitting Shift + Tab to turn it off and see what happens. The "Limiter" section of the window frame will tell you what mode you are in.

I'm 100% sure that is not the case here. The Limiter says it's in Normal mode yet the speed is 50%.
Okay, I think I got what's going on. The moment my AC power is unplugged, the speed drops. I dunno what's causing it but the moment I plug it back the speed returns to normal.
set windows powr plan to high performance mode
nVidia have an option called battery saver\booster(I think)that limits the speed when you are running on battery
There is also another option called Whisper that limits all programs to run at 40fps unless in is specified to run above that
Windows power plan also reduces the speed(or to be more specific,the cpu clock speed)
Windows also have an option to make programs run on the integrated gpu in battery mode unless it is specified
