my laptop specs:

Lenovo thinkpad x230

Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-3320M CPU @ 2.60GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.6GHz
  Memory: 4096MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 3774MB RAM

I installed PCSX2 ver.1.6.0 and tried to run Gran Turismo 4 USA ver. NTSC, i followed all the guides but after the screen showed PS2 booting and copyright statements, it shows nothing, just black screen. 

Was it because of my laptop specs or any issues on the game/pcsx2?

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.
