hmmm.. i have a question..

i successfully run ps2 emulator on my computer, but it is very slow it is runnung about below 8 FPS when i play raw vs smackdown 2009..

here is my specs:

Pentium 4 3.0Ghz
512Mb DDR Ram
256Mb Nvidia Geforce FX 5500 with 2.0 pixel shader

now this is my question, if i upgrade my memory into 1Gb, does the emulator become fast or run at maybe more than 20FPS??..

your processor is old need a dual core with 3.0 ghz above to run that game smoothly and with a good graphics card and must also have atleast 2G of ram you need to change your specs
That is a very intensive game and your rig is no where near good enough, you will see little to no difference by upgrading your ram. You would need a whole new rig.
P4's = bad.
That graphics card = bad.
That ram = bad.
getting a dual core is so expensive for me... Wacko

...maybe i should start finding a work now than playing games so i can buy a fast computer.. haha Laugh

thanks for your reply...

more power to pcsx2.. i hope they can come up with an idea on how they can make it run fast like the ps1 emulator so it can run in old computers like mine... Biggrin
ask for a neew pc for ur birthday Tongue

P4 HT does good also if you don't want to buy a whole new motherboard

get an nvidia 8800gt or radeon 3850 or 4850 and a 3.2 ghz P4 HT (overclock it to 3.4 or more if possable) and get 2 1gb sticks of RAM, and maybe this software called eboostr so you can bost your performance using thumb drives.

Hope that helped Smile
A P4 HT won't work, he needs to upgrade his whole rig. Besides, he can't get either a Geforce 8800, or a Radeon HD4850, those cards are PCI-x only (I think), and from his video card and CPU, i'm guessing he has AGP. Anyway, getting an AGP HD3850 wouldn't help much, most games are more CPU than GPU dependant.
You can try; in fact, i'm playing .hack right now on a P4 2.8GHz, with a 7600GS (around 70% fps), and i already finished FFX, KHI and II, and a couple more games with my PC, but i'm telling you, you really must have nothing better to do, to be willing to play with those FPS...

7600GS huh... i hope its an AGP type because my motherboard only supports AGP.. hehe...
