yes and no. 1.6 still supports win7.
but CHD compression support is a post-1.6 feature...

Ok I converted one game to CSO. I extracted the gz file got the ISO. I then ran the batch file and got a CSO I was able to play it for about ten minutes before it went dead without warning or an error. My next test will have to be on a Win10 machine to see if the cause is me using Win7. Thoughts?
Can you please try using directly your original DVD ?
From your dvd reader ?
I don’t have a DVD drive on this computer.
I suggest you dump your game from dvd again using imgburn, then. Make sure you don't get any error when doing so
The games are long gone, sold to a flea market. This happens with all the games, not just one.
