Full Version: Suikoden V Black Screen After Playstation 2 Logo

Hello,

I'm still fairly new with using PCSX2. I've used to play back through my copies of the PS2 Suikoden games. So far I've managed to play Suikoden 3, 4 and Tactics without any issues. However, I'm trying to start Suikoden V and I'm running into an issue that after the Playstation 2 logo appears at boot the screen goes black and it doesn't proceed. I've tried remaking the ISO file using ImgBurn twice but I keep having the same issue. If I run it directly from the CD it seems to boot up so I don't believe its a problem with the disc. However, I know the recommendation is to play from an ISO so I would like to get this working if I can. I have pasted what appears in the console below. Any ideas anyone has would be appreciated.

Sorry for the double post, but I solved my own problem.

I was using ImgBurn and saving them to a flash drive. I didn't realize the flash drive was formatted in a way that prevented the size of the file to exceed 4 gb so the files were saved as .i00, .i01 and .mds. For the other games I just renamed the .i00 ending in .iso and it worked fine. But that seems to be the source of the problem here. When I saved directly to my PC hard drive it saved as one file. Booting that file worked great!
