Game Code: SLES-54087
PCSX Version: Nightly Beta, 1.7.4379 with the latest tests
CPU Options: EE Defaults (100% cycle, disabled skipping, disabled  affinity), enabled MTVU, enabled VU1, 60fps speed limiter
Plugins used: Vulkan renderer
Other settings: PCSX2 was at version 1.7.4005 when I initially installed it and I've left settings at their defaults
My hardware: Windows 10, Ryzen 9 5950x, RTX 3080. My NVIDIA drivers were updated last night to the latest version

I experienced crashes on 2023-04-07, 2023-04-10, and 2023-04-12. I don't know what version I was using on the previous two days, but I did record which version I was using today. Those are also the only days where I really attempted to play Suikoden V. I have just over 2 hours of playtime in my save, and my folder has 8 crash dumps. It has been very unstable. I wanted to try a few different versions of builds before reporting. 

I have been loading from my save between PCSX2 version upgrades. After reading some posts, I tried changing my render resolution to native and it crashed within 10s of loading my save. I tried changing the BIOS from US to EU since the version number was more recent and it crashed within a minute or so of loading. All of these different attempts are labelled in the dump filenames.

The crashes have been quite random, but when they're happening it's happening frequently. It usually takes me multiple state reloads to luck my way past the crashes to a save point to update my save. There have been no displayed errors. Sometimes the game will simply freeze and lock PCSX2 forcing me to ctrl+alt+del to shut it down, other times it has instantly closed to the desktop. I think the times when it freezes don't generate a dump file.

I recently completed Suikoden III & IV on nightly builds with over 100 hours of gameplay and maybe 1 or 2 crashes in total. I have previously used this exact same ISO in 2013 to play Suikoden V on a much earlier version of PCSX2 with little issue.

I am attaching a zip file with 3 sets of dump logs from todays crashes. There was a fourth today that was a freeze that didn't generate a dump log. I'm also attaching a memcard that happens to include two saves for Suikoden V, one from my current playthrough and the other from my 2013 playthrough. The first save with about 2 hours of gameplay is that one I've been using and it's given me crashes. Today, it has crashed each time within a few minutes of loading the save and running around the screen.
I'm gonna need more information because I can't replicate the crash. I tried full booting, fast booting, going through the intro etc (mostly in fast forward to save time), but I can't make it crash. Annoyingly the crash dumps you provided

is your version of the game patched with anything?
have you got any custom audio settings in PCSX2?
are you loading from a savestate every time when it crashes, or does a fresh boot also do it?

There's no patching that I know of, but I've had this file for a long time. It is 4,517,593,088 bytes with a CRC32 of 216F2759.

My Audio settings:
Synchronization: TimeStretch
Expansion: Stereo
Latency: 60ms
Output Module: Cubeb
Backend: Default
Device: default
Output Latency: 20ms
Timestretch Settings: 30ms, 20ms, 10ms

For loading from a save state, it does happen after a crash because I need to load in order to resume and get to a save point. The crashes this morning were all loaded from the memory card, no save states at all.

I'm trying to remember where I was in the game on the first crash. It didn't happen on my first first session when I began the game, but the next day when I loaded my save to continue and the crash was maybe 10 minutes later. Playing the game 2 hours and arriving at Stormfist seems to have increased the crash rate, which is where my save currently is that I attached to this thread.
Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

My emuLog.txt has a modified date of April 02, so it might not be useful, but here it is anyway.

I think I figured out why it says PCSX2 1.0.0r5350. This was when I was trying to start my game. I was trying to recover my save from my previous playthrough, so I opened an old version of PCSX2 to see if I could still find a save state, so this dump is from that version, not the version that's been crashing.

the nightly log should be in the logs folder wherever the nightly version is installed.

Yes, I updated my post with info on why. I found the setting for it and logging was disabled. I have turned logging on. I hasn't immediately crashed, so I'm going to let it run and I'll post a reply with a new emuLog.txt once it crashes, but here it is for loading. It is now PCSX2 1.7.4381

no. My PC doesn't have a DVD player. I had even considered looking into a memcard reader so I could recover my PS2 saves, but it didn't look to be worth the cost.

So everything was running quite stable on 1.7.4381 after quite a long number of minutes with no crash. I rolled back to 1.7.4379 and got a crash. It took a while, but it did freeze. Unfortunately, it was a freeze instead of a crash so there was no dump and it didn't write to the log file so all I have is the same emulog.txt I posted.
