Whenever I try to change settings (except for the "Controllers" tab) or boot games, PCSX2 will freeze about 2-3 seconds before crashing. I downloaded the NIghtly version on the official website and also updated to the latest version.

My laptop specs are: 

• AMD Ryzen 5500U
  
• 8GB RAM
  
• VGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB
  
• Windows 10 64bit
  

Any help is appreciated!

Are you using any shell replacement ?
Are your gou and igpu drivers up to date ?

idk about shell replacement but my GPU and everything else is definitely up-to-date.
But what is shell replacement tho?
