It keeps freezing specifically at the start of encounters when the little grid is fading away and it always does the split screen type thing. I had the black screen error and i fixed that with the EE timing fix. I didn't see any other posts talking about this specific kind of freezing. I'm playing on the NTSC version. It's not consistent but i don't want to play the game if I risk losing progress every battle. Does anyone have a solution?

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.
Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):

I don's see that file in that folder but It happened when i had the log window option on in the emulator and i saved that if that works.
tools->enable file logging.
that should generate a file in documents/pcsx2/logs

everything matches up with the redump website for the ISO
try deleting this : C:\Users\scary\OneDrive\Documents\PCSX2\gamesettings\SLUS-20974_D7273511.ini
