Hi guys,
I'm trying to run FF12 on PCSX2 but I'm getting some FPS problems.
I viewed this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYPbYyjWj...annel_page
and on this exact type scene (when the game changes the point of view to show a Boss or a certain Character talking, etc) my FPS (60 max) drops a lot, usually to 30-45.

It is definitly playable but it's still very annoying.

Why exactly I can't get the same FPS/speed of that video?

Here are my configurations:
Emulator: PCSX2 0.9.6
Graphics: GSdx 890 SSSE3 0.1.14 (Windowed, Direct3D9 Hardware, Pixel Shader 3.0, Log. Z, FBA, Texture Filtering)
Controller: LilyPad 0.9.9
Sound: SPU2-X 1.1.0
CDVDROM: Linuz Iso CDVD 0.8.0
Speedhacks: Enable IOP x2 Cycle Rate

GeForce 8800 GTS 512mb
Intel Quadcore Q6600 2.4ghz
2x2GB Kingston DDR2 800mhz
Windows XP SP3

As you guys can see, almost everything is the same.. The main differences ares:
1) I can't run SSSE41 (It gives me the following error: This CPU does not support SSE 4.01)
2) I don't know what is his OS
3) Edited

Can anyone help me please?
Your clock speed on the processor is low, and you aren't running Vista/Windows 7

so even if I add a GTX285 XFX 648mhz and switch to Win Vista 64 bits, I still will get the same problem due to my processor speed?

Possibly. The thing to keep in mind is that PCSX2 is more CPU intensive then GPU intensive.

With a Quadcore you don't need to clock your processor at 3.0Ghz, just until 2.6 - 2.8 would be enough to get full speed Smile
