I'm trying to run my own FFXII cd (in cd drive)
I have X11, the Nvidia CG toolkit downloaded, and all the patches / bios files downloaded as far as i know.
I open X11 and enter
cd /Applications/pccs2/bin
./pcsx2svn
and it opens normally...
i do File>Run CD and it just quits the window, saying nothing but 'Bus Error'

So i try debugger... this is what i get:
ZeroGS: creating
ZeroGS: Got Doublebuffered Visual!
ZeroGS: glX-Version 1.4
Xlib: extension "XFree86-VidModeExtension" missing on display "/tmp/launch-0ksEPZ/:0".
ZeroGS: Depth 24
ZeroGS: you have Direct Rendering!
ZeroGS: ******
ZeroGS: GS WARNING: Floating point render targets not supported, switching to 32bit
ZeroGS: *********
ZeroGS: Disabling MRT depth writing

My settings are
Graphics - ZeroGS OpenGL (Dev) 0.96.7
Sound - SPU2null 0.7.1
Dev9 - DEV9nulldriver 0.3.0
cdvdrom - CDVDnull Driver 0.6.0
...
Please Help me...where do I go next?
I was having a bus error as well.
But I solved the problem(for me at least)
I cant launch the ps2 browser by itself, I have to have an iso mounted for any reason
unknown to me(Although I think I had the cd drive set to null and it launched into the browser fine).

For the sake of using it, I ran the iso for dumping the ps2 bios, which
I obtained from the pcsx2 downloads - tools/utilities page

And made the change to the ps2hw.fx file where you have to change half4 to float4

Ran this on EU and US bios and works fine.

I dont know whether this is the same problem for everyone else, but I was getting the
same non-helpful 'bus error' as a lot of people were getting.
So hopefully it helps a few people out.

erm, cdvdnull means that there is no dvd plugin. And there is no mac dvd plugin at all, it only support isos.
Thanks for the help. I switched the right line from half4 to float4, and have a FFXII iso mounted.
My cdvd drive is Linuzappz iso cdvd 0.7.0
...
still no luck, I am gettin the same old bus error.
BUT
when I load Pcsx2svn without using X11 (just double clicking it in it's folder)
When i try to run (run > execute ) something, i get the message:
"Unable to load bios: '/applications/pcsx2/bin/bios//ps2', PCSX2 can't run without that"
If i ignore this, using the mounted volume;
"error opening [my iso file]"
then
"error opening CDVD Plugin"
Is there another CDVD plugin for mac that i need?
Sorry I'm such a noob at this...i just want to run FFXII on my mac. Thanks for the help.
Read the configuration guide. You need your BIOS from your PS2 console for PCSX2 to work
