i'm just wondering whether or not playing games in fullscreen mode will affect the fps

thx in advance
If the resolution is the same of the window you use, then the fps will remain the same. The fullscreen only screches the resolution you are using to adapt the image to the screen so it doesn't slows down the performance.
yes but a little FPS improvement during full screen,BT3 is one of the example.
Yes fullscreen should increase a little bit of speed or be more stable speed, however this is not the case always and best way to know would be to try it yourself and see if it does for you, if you dont notice any speed difference well you're free to chose how to play Tongue
Well now, I had no idea Fullscreen mode could actually boost up a little FPS! Huh Then I'll give it a try, too!

But wait a minute. If I'm on 1024x768(native) and select 1024x768(internal), won't that actually slow down things since I read this was some sort of anti-aliasing.
game depends, for example Dragon Quest VIII PAL gives you more fps with window stretched than fullscreen.

changing the d3d internal resolution affects performance, changing the size of the output window doesn't (or only to some minor extent). so if you tick "native" and maximize the pcsx2 window it should run at the same speed, no matter if your desktop resolution is 800x600 or 1920x1200 (unless your gpu is really weak). if you increase the d3d internal resolution, the graphical output of 3d games will look better, but it might hurt your fps if too high.

Yeah, I know that. OK, this Fullscreen deal doesn't work with me anyhow, but still, thanks!
